SASS Board of Directors Elect 2007 Slate of Officers

Portsmouth, NH – The Board of Directors at Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) is pleased to announce their 2007 newly elected officers. Dover resident, Cubbi Lirette has taken over the role of President from outgoing President, Roland Cote.  Currently a Victim Witness Coordinator for the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office, Lirette has been actively involved with SASS for over 12 years and is looking forward to taking over the leadership helm.

“I am pleased to accept this honor and eager to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.  I look forward to working with the staff and my fellow directors to achieve our mission to end sexual violence in our community.”

Other newly elected officers include Dover resident and Assistant Dean of Dover Middle School,  Kimberly Lyndes as Vice President, and Portsmouth resident, Lori Waltz-Gagnon as Secretary. Hampton resident and certified public accountant, George Bragg, will remain as Treasurer. 

The 2007 slate of officers are joined by current Board Members, Roland Cote of Epping, Jessica Paradis of Somersworth, Kelly O’Loughlin and Kathie White of Kittery Point and James Pappaioanou.  SASS is honored to have such a group of dedicated men and women who are committed to ensuring the continued programmatic and financial health of SASS and is currently looking for community members with financial, legal, and business backgrounds to consider joining the leadership of this vital organization.  New members will be invited to join in the spring and fall of 2007.  Anyone interested should contact Executive Director, Kathy Beebe at 603-436-4107 for more information.

SASS is a non-profit agency supporting victims/survivors in their efforts to heal from the trauma of sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, and stalking while striving to prevent the occurrence of sexual violence in local communities and in society at large.   SASS serves the citizens of Rockingham, Strafford and southern York counties.
