Where's the Outrage?

[slogan used with permission from PCAR]

Since the agency was created in 1979, Sexual Assault Support Services (formerly the Women's Resource Center) has been at the forefront of the anti-sexual violence movement in NH. SASS has utilized its voice to advance the rights of countless victims and to affect critical change through its active role in public policy, education, and prevention. While much progress has been made in the response to victims of sexual violence in NH, there has not been a decline in the numbers of those affected by this heinous crime.

It is nearly impossible to read a local newspaper, or watch or listen to a news program without hearing about sexual assaults occurring right in our community. A study released in 2006 by the Governor's Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence determined that the number of women and girls in NH who have been victims of sexual violence could fill Fenway Park 3 times over!

Hearing this statistic should not only shock you, it should OUTRAGE you! We challenge you to turn your OUTRAGE into ACTION and do something to STOP this crime from happening to children, youth and adults in our community.
